Smart and Sun 6-Month Installment Payment Program

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is the 6-month installment payment program?

The 6-month installment bills payment program offers Smart and SUN Postpaid customers the ease of paying their outstanding balances, as of April billing cut-off, in six (6) monthly installments with zero percent (0%) interest, starting May 2020 until October 2020.

This program has been designed to help ease the financial burden of customers during the COVID-19 crisis.

2. How do I qualify for the 6-month installment payment program?

All active Smart and SUN Postpaid customers with outstanding balances equal or greater than P100, as of April billing cut-off, are automatically qualified for the 6-month installment payment program. Corporate accounts are not qualified for the program.

3. I am enrolled to Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA), am I qualified to the 6-months installment payment program?

Yes. Accounts enrolled to ADA with outstanding balances equal or greater than P100 as of April billing cut-off are qualified for the 6-month installment payment program.

4. How do I avail or enroll to the 6-month installment payment program?

All qualified Smart and SUN Postpaid customers are automatically enrolled to the easy 6-month installment payment program. This will apply to billing cycles within May 1, 2020 until October 31, 2020. Customers, however, may choose to finish the program earlier by settling their total installment amounts (equal to their outstanding balance as of April billing cut-off) in full anytime within the six-month period.

Smart and SUN Postpaid customers with outstanding balances below P100 as of April billing cut-off will not be enrolled to the program.

5. What amount will be covered by the 6-month installment scheme?

All unpaid balances equal or greater than P100 as of April billing cut-off will be amortized via a 6-month payment period with zero percent (0%) interest, starting May 2020 until October 2020.

6. What happens if I miss payment or provide partial payment during the installment period?

Customers are highly encouraged to settle total amount due/to pay in full and on time in order to avoid redirection or suspension of outgoing services (data, calls and SMS). Missed payments will be accumulated as past due balances.

7. Will I be redirected if I exceed my credit limit?

Customers should maintain their usage within the credit limit in order to avoid redirection or suspension of outgoing services (data, calls and SMS).

8. Will I be able to identify the Outstanding Balance converted into 6-Month Installment and my monthly installment amounts in my Statement of Account (SOA)/eStatement?

Yes. These details will be properly itemized and reflected on your SOA, depending on the plan profile. For a guide, please refer to the illustration below.

9. I am enrolled to Auto-Debit Arrangement (ADA). Why am I seeing an amount under my “Balance from Previous Bill” in my May 2020 bill? Shouldn’t this amount be paid already?

Since we started implementing the Bill Payment Extension from March 16 – April 30, 2020, we have temporarily put on hold the auto-debit charging for your account. As such, payment for the period has not been collected, not charged yet to your credit card. For reference, you will see your outstanding balances as of April 2020 still reflected under the “Balance from Previous Bill” in your statement of account.

10. Is the amount under “Balance from Previous Bill” on my May 2020 bill charged already to my Credit Card (enrolled to ADA)?

No. The amount reflected under your “Balance from Previous Bill” has not been charged yet to your credit card. Only your “Total Amount Due” for your May 2020 bill will be charged to your credit card via ADA.

11. Can I already pay for my “Remaining Installment” amount even if I am enrolled to ADA?

Yes, you may settle your “Remaining Installment” amount through our online payment channels listed at: smrt.ph/apc. Note that only your “Total Amount Due” will be charged to your credit card via ADA. The Remaining Installment amount will only be charged to your credit card once it becomes part of your “Total Amount Due” in your succeeding SOAs.
