Slow PC and Internet Tips: Check Internet status using Ping Command

Having trouble with your Internet connection and unsure if you are actively connected to the Internet? By using Ping Command, you can check if your connection is active or not.

To check the status of your connection to Smart Bro, try these steps:

Instructions:
1. Go to START menu
2. On the search box, type "cmd" and click cmd or cmd.exe
3. To check if you are connected to Smart Bro's network, type "ping 192.168.224.1".
4. Look for the prompt that shows the percentage of loss. If the command shows a loss of 0%, that means you are connected to the Smart Bro network. If the loss shown is 100%, that means you are not connected to the network.
5. To check if Smart Bro's network is active, type "ping google.com". If the command shows a loss of 0%, that means the network is active. If the loss shown is 100%, that means the network is down.

If you're still having Internet connection concerns, try checking if your IP address is valid or flushing your DNS Cache.
