## I. How to determine your operating system
For Android devices:
Step 1: Tap the App launcher icon.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Locate and tap About device.
Step 4: Check your device's Android version.
For iOS devices:
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Tap General.
Step 3: Tap About.
Step 4: Check your device's iOS version.
## II. How to configure internet settings
Android Kitkat
GPRS activation is automatically configured for this device. To configure over-the-air, text SET to 211.
Step 1: Tap the Apps launcher icon.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Tap More networks then Mobile networks.
Step 4: Tap Access Point Names then Tap SMART internet.
Step 5: Check if the following details are correct.
Otherwise, tap to edit:
Name: SMART INTERNET or SMART LTE
APN: internet or smartlte
APN type: default,supl
MCC: 515
MNC: 03
Authentication type: PAP
APN Protocol: IPv4
Step 6: Tap the Options icon then Save.
## III. How to browse the internet using Wi-Fi
For Android Kitkat:
Check if your device is connected to any Wi-Fi network by looking for the Wi-Fi symbol. If there is none, follow these steps below:
Step 1: Tap the App launcher icon.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Tap Wi-Fi.
Step 4: Turn on Wi-Fi by tapping the switch icon.
Step 5: Tap the Wi-Fi connection you wish to connect to.
Step 6: Enter password if prompted.
Step 7: You should see the Wi-Fi symbol on your status bar.
Once successfully connected, you may start browsing the internet:
Step 1: Open your device's internet browser.
Step 2: Enter mobile.smart.com.ph in the URL field and tap the search button.
Step 3: Wait for the website to load
For iOS 8
Step 1: Go to Settings.
Step 2: Tap Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Turn on Wi-Fi by tapping on the switch.
Step 4: Tap the Wi-Fi connection you wish to connect to.
Step 5: Enter password if prompted then tap Join.
Step 6: You should see the Wi-Fi symbol on your status bar.
Once successfully connected, you may start browsing the internet:
Step 1: Tap Safari.
Step 2: Tap the address bar and key-in smart.com.ph.
Step 3: Tap Go.
Step 4: Wait for the web site to load.
## IV. How to install and uninstall an app
For Android:
Step 1: From your home screen, go to Play Store.
Step 2: Tap the search icon.
Step 3: Type the name of the app you want to download and tap the Search icon.
Step 4: Tap the app you want to download.
Step 5: Tap Install then Accept.
Step 6: Wait for the app to finish downloading and installing.
To uninstall an app:
Step 1: Tap the App launcher icon.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Scroll down to Application Manager.
Step 4: Tap the app you wish to uninstall then tap Uninstall.
Step 5: Confirm Uninstallation and wait for the app to finish uninstalling.
For iOS 8:
Step 1: Tap App Store.
Step 2: Search for the app you want to install by tapping on the Search icon.
Step 3: Tap Get.
Step 4: Tap INSTALL. If prompted, enter your Apple ID password.
Step 5: Wait for the app to finish downloading and then tap Open to run the application
To uninstall an app:
Step 1: Long press or tap and hold down the icon of the app you want to uninstall.
Step 2: Tap the small x button to delete.
Step 3: Confirm app deletion by tapping on Delete.
## V. How to turn mobile data on or off
For Android Kitkat:
Step 1: Tap the App launcher icon.
Step 2: Go to Settings.
Step 3: Tap More networks then Mobile networks.
Step 4: Tick/untick Mobile data.
For iOS 8:
Step 1: Tap Settings.
Step 2: Select Cellular
Step 3: Toggle Cellular Data on or off
## VI. How to turn international roaming on or off
For Android Kitkat:
Step 1: Tap the Apps launcher icon
Step 2: Go to Settings
Step 3: Tap More networks then Mobile networks
Step 4: Tick/untick Data roaming then tap OK

Step 2: Select Cellular
Step 3: To see the Data roaming option, make sure you turn on Cellular data first.
